The OTL News Desk – The Sears Tower changed its name yesterday.  Mike shares a spin on the new name. OTL: Episode #145- Poorly Rated Local Nursing Homes, Gardening With Mr. Brown Thumb, and Taste of Chicago Reflections

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!! (podcasting from the studios in the OTL Bunker, somewhere in Chicago) (broadcasting on the “proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free” radio station WLUW-FM (88.7) Chicago) Mike Stephen extols the magic of the slow cooker, talks to a reporter who wrote about the rampant sub-par nursing home care in Illinois, chats about urban gardening with local blogger Mr. Brown Thumb, and listens to reflections on this year’s Taste of Chicago. Mike loves the slow cooker – He doesn’t have a grill to BBQ on this weekend…but he DOES have a slow cooker.  Even though it’s summer he plans on using it tomorrow! OTL: Episode #144- Special CAN-TV Programming, New Pride Parade Rules, and Reforming Chicago Public Schools

Mike’s busy weekend – Is it possible for our intrepid host to hit up the Taste of Chicago, Pride Parade, AND tend to his new Earth Box garden on his deck?  We shall see!
