I’ve heard that there’s a “Chicago-style” (*cough* *cough*) restaurant about 20 minutes north of where I live, here in central California, that has an Italian beef sandwich. Some day, I’m going to get over there and try it. But I know it’ll be a disappointment. You just can’t get a good beef sandwich outside the Chicago area. It’s not possible.
