How come you never hear cheesy FM stations refer to themselves as “rock leaders,” anymore? There’s a local sports-talk station here in central California (that airs 95% syndicated content) that calls itself the “central coast’s sports leader.” But why aren’t there any more Rock Leaders?
Also, when we were driving cross-country back in ’05. we picked up a classic rock station in Minnesota that called itself, “Okeechobee’s greatest rock!” That was amusing.
